Crab Beehoon

talking about crab...

i went to try the crab porridge at geyland opp lor 7 on last sunday.
i was surprise to see the whole crab inside the hot porridge. i dont know to eat
the porridge first or to eat the crab first. not easy to finish the whole
porridge becos of the crab. if i ate the crab first than my hands will be dirty
n my porridge would not be hot by then. see? so plz avoid the CRAB porridge.

honestly, if i really 1 2 eat a crab, i would rather go for a tasty cooked crab
w/o porridge. i thought it serves juz the crab meat inside the porridge. weirdface

Agree. Eating crab always makes us "crabby" but what matters is..was it tasty and shiok to eat? biggrin

the crab i ate was fresh but taste normal.
the best crab is the one in AMK. was it st 12?

How much is the crab porridge? Is the portion big enough for 2 persons? My wife loves to eat crabs and I may bring her there to try. smile

$16. the portion is like those frog leg porridge.
i find it too much porridge for me. for supper, maybe ok for 2 person.
as for the crab, so so only lah.
i suggest you go for a proper crab dishes.

AMK got2 very good n famous crab restaurants. i'll find out more for you.

Thanks, I've tried the AMK crab beehoon but they are getting to be overpriced and too crowded also. Mellben also has a branch at Toa Payoh Lor 8.
For something different maybe you can try the crab tanghoon at
Ya Kwang Dai Pai Dong
709 Geylang Road (Lor 37)

Hi,,, all the crab lover........
The AMK one is tooooo expensive and the waiting time just tooooo loooong lah furious

I found this one also V Very Gooooood ,, and their mee hoon is fry together with the crab and its dry and smell great, different from AMK which the crab and mee hoon are cooked with milk...and due to its location,, the waiting time is reasonable.... another "" die die must try dish"" is their Mussel cooked with white wine !!!

ok, this restaurant near simpang bedok along the same stretch with the
bedok fire station is also serving good crab. comparable to the AMK one.
waiting time is short during weekday (dont know about weekend).

look at the decorative crab's shell

This place also cooks up a nice version of the KL Hokkien Mee. smile
