I like the one at junction of Kitchener Road/Jln Besar. Have been patronising this since childhood when lady boss was pushing cart along Beach Road since the 1960's. Lady boss is still around according to the employees but seldom visit the shop nowadays. smile.gif

This is the original "scissor-cut" curry rice.

Yes, I remember first tasting it way back in 1963 along Beach Road opposite the now Gateway. During that time, the aunty and her husband were operating from push carts. The husband is a compulsive gambler adn wife have to work very hard to support his gambling habit.

Also the "kway chap" is also very good. Also operating in push cart and opposite the Scissor Curry Rice. But hor, they shifted to Blanco Court and business was very good too. Always long queue. Then they moved to Serangoon Gardens market diagonally opposite "Chomp Chomp". I went there in 2005 to try out again. The quality has since dropped almost 40%. The father is still there with the son running the stall.
