Cabby in Q very unforgiving

Being a cabby is already a tiring job, beside receiving nonsense from rude pax, even some fellow cabby are also one kind. Anyway just a rotten egg will spoil your whole day.
OK, my story....I was trying to get into a queue outside a shopping mall, a very short Q with 4 cab and another silly cab not in the Q with more than 2 cars length, me just cut in easily to join the Q bypass the silly cab. This cab suddenly move behind me and started to hone and hone at me. I remain as is but he never give up keep on honing and trying to create a scene. By this time everybody was focusing the attention to two of us. I have no choice but just quite the Q and move out of the Q very upset. I'm upset bcos of the behaviour of the cabby action, i did not know that he is interested to join the Q, initially thot that he's resting that why i join the Q. What an unfortunate encounter with a bankrupt character cabby.

Bro Regit, sorry to hear your bad experience again.
Next time when joining a que, try not to assume.
For your case, you can look if the driver is in the cab or not, if no driver, you just join the que like you did.
If driver is inside and if the road permit, drive to his side, wind down window and tap your horn to chk if he is in the que.
If the road don't permit you to stop side by side, stop behind him, you can get down and ask him or you can just tap your horn to remind him to move forward, if he's not in the que, he'll wind down window and wave you to overtake.
Fyi, many driver read newspaper, count their taking, sleep while in que, hence gap in que here and there is very common.
What the driver did was bad, but it can be avoided if you observe the above, you don't lose anything.
Hope it helps you and wish you good luck!

Advice noted, never expected he got a small heart, all cabby should support, helped and encouraged each other ...band together as a team and not behave so unbecoming. It will be very ugly in the public eye if two cabby are auguing or near to fist. I had encounter many occasion where some cabby just cut infront of my queue unintentionally and i will just give a friendly gesture if he look at my direction. I'm still very new and do not like to alight and approach cabby for that instances bcos if he's not in a good mood he might preceive as confrontation. To me it's just a queue and will not loose a great deal if to forgo that place. My motto is ...Pax no good just quickly drop the pax, place no good with rotten cabby around just move out from the hell area and seek for better place.

Dun let one bad incident rule and ruin your day. Just forgive, forget and move on.
It's not worth it.

Yes Q got Q rule but that cabby is at the bus stop lane just drop somebody and smelling his dollar note, so me ignorant just cut in....anyway me only hot for 1/2 an hour.

Do not Q for pax??sound interesting...but it depend on demand...driving cab at times u are not your own master. Sometimes have to follow the wind but off course do not follow blindly lah. Me also never like to Q in airport even though drop pax there.
Whenever i see long Q i always salute those cabby for having great patience....i'm a looser in this aspect.

Sorry Regit bro, hi-jack thread a bit.

Check with experienced bros here about my Q incident and seek some advise.

Was in the Q @ Golden Mile Complex, I was the 1st cab. Got 1 gentleman boarded and asked whether he can pay by NETS, my cab cannot so say sorry to him, advise him take next cab.

So this gentleman left my cab and got into a Blue Crown behind me. The gentleman's butt touched the seat cushion less than 5 secs, the Blue Crown keep horning and hi-beam like kena possessed. Thought of shifting up a bit to let him pass, but then if pax come need walk down to my cab, like out of place also. So I just moved off.

Did I do the right thing? Sad to see such unforgiving TDs on the road. Already lose my pax to him liao, still bugger me f*ck off from Q. disbelief.gif

It's Ok, we are sharing our unpleasant encounter....

You can either move down and if the gap is still there u can quickly reversed back, normally the 3rd cab should be aware if pax bypass first cab. To me it's very rude to hone loudly and high beam at front cab...the cabby must be very impatient and every second is precious to him. I do have another incident but it's the pax that make me boil up and also it is my first time waiting outside pub at 12.45am. Was waited for quite sometime and a lady came out from the pub, instead of taking my cab she took the cab behind me (behind cab is much better). Me very dissapointed....Zooom home and sleep...vow never wait outside at pub anymore...my first and last....ha..ha...
