What' the Best Route to Take

Hi Sifu,

Need some advice on routes to take especially i'm not into the West side.

1) From Esplanade to Dover Rd ( Tink is world united colleage, just beside S'pore Poly )

2) From Dover Rd to The Treetop @ Orange Grove Rd

3) From Jurong Point to Boat Quay

Thanks to all the si-fu for taking the time to answer my noob questions.

Esplanade to Dover : I'lltake AYE via Shenton Way ( Keppel ) !!!

Dover to Tree Top Svc Apt : I'll take Holland Road .

Jurong Point to Boat Quay : AYE > CTE exit Merchant Road .

Esplanade to Dover , if night shift , to go via Shenton Way , River Gantry sometime ERP charges like $2-$3 .... must ask if pax agrees on it .

If pax dun want , then LL must go by Stamford Road > Penang Road > Grange Road > Holland Road > Buona Vista Road > Commonwealth .

If they insist on highway AYE without $2-$3 , Stamford Road $0.50 ERP > Penang Road > Clemenceau Ave > Chin Swee Road > AYE .

That's one extra knowledge Night Shift drivers must know .

Must know how to ply different routes base on different ERP charges , must be fast to decide routes .

There's is no standard , very flexible one .

Esplanade to Dover,
Stamford Road>Penang Road(Fort Canning Tunnel)>Grange>Holland Road>Buona Vista Road>Commonwealth

Another option,
Pax working in Suntec area going home to Sixth Ave taught me during my first month of driving.
Time around 1800hrs weekday.

Stamford Road>Hill St>Coleman St>Canning Rise>Oxley Rise>Eber Rd>Exeter Rd>Denvonshire Rd>Grange>Holland Rd........

Longer but faster, avoid Fort Canning Tunnel ERP, avoid heavy traffic along,Penang Rd, Sommerset Rd n Orchard Boulevard/Paterson Rd junction.

what LazyBone suggested , Stamford Road > Hill Street > Coleman Street > Clemenceau Ave > Chin Swee Road > AYE also not bad , totally no ERPs ......

bro chevy88, best solution is to ask pax 1st for their preference routes. u might be using yr own route but some pax does hv a better routes to the destination.

at times you need to learn the directions on yr own.try it out bro.

Esplanade to dover : I ever got 1 pax that request me to go nicoll highway, pie, adam, farrer, holland rd, buona vista than dover. He claims that it is faster because less traffic. It was in the evening peak hours.
So it is better to confirm with pax first before making a move.

I even got 1 pax from science park 1 to lor 6 toa payoh, told me to take aye, ecp, kpe, pie exit toa payoh. Also claim that it is much faster?!?!?!

Bro Lazybone,

Thks for the feedback. This is precislely wat I need from u guys a detailed route of travel. Anyway, just to share, I did ask her n she ask me to go via AYE. So being a noob, I kp tinking AYE should be go all the way via Shenton then will see AYE. Then I head straight all the way until pass VIVO then I exit from Alexandra then into AYE and the lady said I miss the turn already and ask me to exit north buona vista rd.

So wondering whr I missed the turn?

Thank you guys for your time.

Bro chevy88,

fm Shenton way >keppel >up the Keppel viaduct on ur left(AYE TUAS) don't go straight -will lead u to VIVO. That area heavy traffic. Some pax will give u right, left, center, maybe upside down. Ha ha , maybe after that can remember 4ever.

Have kenna lot, nothing to be ashamed of. Only u and the pax know. It the learning process. Need to learn fast, if not kenna too much no mood to drive.

u should take the viaduct to AYE on Keppel Rd,
