The female pillion rider travelling on a motorcycle involved in the Loyang hit-and-run accident has said that she wants to punch the driver, after suffering spinal injuries.

The motorcyclist, Mr Mohammed Mazree Abdul Majib, 24, was giving Miss Siti Nadiah Nen, 23, a ride home after supper at Changi Village when they were hit by the driver.

Instead of rendering assistance, the man had driven away from the scene dragging the motorcycle behind him, but was apprehended by two cyclists, who

prevented him from fleeing until police had arrested him, as reported by STOMPer Lucas.

According to a follow-up report in The New Paper, Miss Nadiah is enraged by the fact that the driver did not stop to assist after the collision, and wishes she could punch him for it.

She had been flung off the bike with such force that the people coming to Mr Mazree's aid did not even realise she had been riding pillion, until he asked if they had seen her.

Apart from the spinal fracture, she also suffered a concussion and severe lacerations.

According to the cyclists who apprehended the driver, the driver had reeked of alcohol at the time.
