Last Sunday, I was at Shell Alexandra. As I was coming out of the petrol station, i saw 2 indian ladies stopped a Prime cab just in front of me. The Prime cab drove away, obviously didnt wanna take them. The ladies then stopped me. As it turned out, one of the is a Sri Lanka maid who lost her way after her day off out. The other lady is a good samaritan helping the former out. She showed me the maid's work permit which shows her address. I took the lost maid in. She told me she was very scared as she didnt know how to get home. I had been lost before and knew exactly how she felt. She told me she just started working for this employer and had taken another bus suggested by her friends instead of the one her employers told her. Her destination was just round the corner at Queens at stirling road, the fare came out to be $3.82. When she reached her destination, she thanked me and got off, without paying her fare. Well, i didnt chase her for it. I had thought she may played this trick for free rides but then the fact she didnt even know hot to put on her seat belt, I gave her the benefit of doubt. I just take it as a charity on my part.

So you're not so fierce after all. Not chasing after every cent as you once mentioned. Good for you. Hahaha, inside there, Elmo is still shining.
not often meh? its my second "lost maid" encounter. The first one i picked up from Royal Plaza at scotts. That maid is smarter cos she has been working here for 10 years. She got lost cos just started with new employer at Yong An Park but she smarter, she went to seek help from hotel doorman. She did pay the fare and gave me a little tip for helping her also. :)
Smoothrider - I do have a soft spot for some people who deserve it. Someone told me lady cabby must be a bit more fierce, if not get bullied. In fact, I have encounters of other drivers bullying me but i show them the bird sign, they better dont mess with me. Hee
