CDG - Feedback on MDT after the November revamp.

Not sure how many of CDG drivers feel that the new revamp system isn't as good compared to the old version.

Merits

- Good to do away with the Scheme A / B

- No more getting "downgraded" due to not able to accept calls

Demerits

- Not able to confirm booking immediately

- After accepting the call job, not sure if you will to get it till 3-5 seconds later.

- Even no job, system do not prompt.

- As a result the driver is not able to make decision fast.

Any comments ?

I think, calls display should include information like estimated distance of pickup point from the driver's present position. This would allow the driver to
judge if he wants to take the call. Once calls is accepted, the map displays should include the count down time to allow the driver to judge how much
time he spent searching the pickup point.

I will be going for Comfort's MDT Course on Monday (13 Jan), see what can I learn from there...

Any question for me to ask them or need to pay attention ?

I will update here if there are interesting stuff I learn from the course.

I have attended the comfort MDT yesterday.

Sound great to me. As for your Demerits comments, give them sometime to improve their system. I understand, so far, most new drivers accept systems, but not the "senior" one.

I am interest on the Advanced Booking using smartphone. Waiting for my Driver ID, then I can login.

Don't know how true but just to share with you from other SMRT drivers. This is their own derived conclusion for SMRT OC.

If they do not accept OC after a certain numbers of times, they realise that the subsequent OC given to them gets further & further, and also reduce the numbers/priority of OC given to them. Try to accept OC, especially when you are in HDB area and the OC comes from those void deck area (at least lower chance of getting hijack). Also, likewise your thinking, practice STC 1 or 2 minutes before dropping your pax. This can increase some % of getting the next OC nearby where you are at that point of time.

After mid night, say 1am, you can actually choose to select "Auto-Bid" but bear in mind, do not hesitate when the system bid successfully for you. Scenario like if you are queuing at Parklane near 3am, you are only a few cars to loading but you got a bid, just get out of the Q and go straight to the OC location. Usually hotel areas in town at that hour has higher chance of sending departure.

All the best ^_^
