I've been driving taxi for 1 year + but never get any fine at all. You have to have self-control over the emotion when comes to the speed limit, especially for day drivers.

Bear in mind: You drive fast or slow, pax pay you the same amount. You step hard on the accelerator to move off faster but cause higher fuel consumption everyday in returns, the meter runs the same.

All the best :)

That's because as taxi drivers, you travel all over Singapore unlike those who drive their own cars. There are many roads with speed limits of 70km/hr only. Adam road is one of them. There are also many others with speed limits of 60km/hr. Tampines Ave 1 and Hougang Ave 3 are examples. Then, those roads with no speed limit signs are only 50km/h.

As TDs, part of our job is to know which are the notorious roads that the TP usually hide to catch speeding drivers. The 3 roads that I have mentioned are notoriously famous.

Good Luck.

Driving taxi not only look at the ground for pax

also need to look up at the overhead bridge whenever you spotted one

and be sensitive with persons holding gadget

Goodluck

KPE's speed limit is 80km/h, with a small stretch with only 70km/h.

"why so many ppl kenna saman?..."In returns for the question, why test the limit?

You have an interesting team ! Hahaha, were you all racing drivers ? I ask because most rookies are extra careful.

Anyway, it's just suay to be saman because they catch only a few among all the culprits day in day out.

The $$$ you lose due to fines and accidents is part of our risks as TDs. Each painful event should make us wake up.

This poor taxi uncle observing the speed , but others are speeding ..
but we never know when we meet the ghost if we keep traveling in the dark..
so better safe than sorry..

Driving too fast endanger not only yourself .. it also endanger your passengers ..

although some passengers might want you to speed up a little .. but do so within your limits and judgement.

Of course it helps if you know where are all the speed cameras are
