STOMPer Mimik said a taxi driver, who had made an illegal U-turn in front of Fuchun Primary School in Woodlands to pick up a passenger, nearly hit him.
He said the incident happened at about 4pm yesterday.
"As u can see in the picture, there were only two lanes and he actually blocked both the lanes. He made the illegal U-turn while I was approaching the junction," he recounted.
He said he when he stopped his bike a few metres in front of the taxi to confront the driver, he quickly drove off.
The STOMPer said he then went to Vista Point to cool off.
Coincidentally, the STOMPer saw the taxi again half an hour later at the area and confronted the driver after the following the taxi.
However, the driver denied all the STOMPer's claims and said that he did not see the STOMPer when he was making the illegal U-turn, said the STOMPer.
The driver only apologised after the STOMPer snapped a photo of him and told him that he was going to have it published.
"I was satisfied with the apology but then he still denied seeing me which was ridiculous since it was 4pm! He also sacastically offered to give up his driving license," said the STOMPer.
He said, "I just wanted him to own up and acknowledge that he nearly hit me and to prevent these incidents from happening in the future."

Reading through the post again I believe he's a motorcyclist, and the taxi driver is actually in the wrong. Even if he wanted to make an illegal or legal u turn, he should make sure there's no on coming traffic. Practice safety first. Eh, there's no continuous white line, so why can't "U" turn? Why bike so goondu follow so close to taxi knowing there's a possibleright turn ahead? Why didn't pay much attention when riding? Saw "Ah neah" on the road is it?

well u can do the U turn but do it on a safety way. Well the MIMIK is just the type of person who follow the LAW but he is not a pragmatic person. Tell him to be tolerant to us taxi drivers. I dun thing there is no crime committed unless the taxi hit him.
