A STOMPer was almost mowed down by this speeding cabbie, and thankfully, he was able to get to safety before anything untoward happened.
Alex had been at the Shell petrol station near the Kandang Kerbau Hospital on May 23 at about6pm when the incident took place.
The 30-year-old had been squatting down near his car when he saw the cabby driving in his direction at about 30 to 40 km/h.
Says Alex:
"This Comfort cab almost killed me! I parked my car at Shell Petrol station as shown to pump my car tires.The taxi just zoomed pass me as i squat down beside my car.
"Luckily i stood up quickly if not he would have hit me.
"The cabby came out and i told him he almost hit me,he shouted at me sorry,take it or leave it!
"He did so very loudly,even the pump attendants were shocked.
"I called Comfort and they say they will give me an explanation. Happened 23/5 at 5.50pm at 150 Bkt Timah rd, Shell . Near KK hospital. I will post what Comfort replies."
Alex had also alerted the LTA about this issue.

One question to be asked, why did he squat down beside his car whereby it is understood that it is hazard to him?
these days, everything is Mummy (comfort) n Daddy (LTA)... so guys, drive carefully hor, dont let your mummy n daddy come down hard on you with a cane.
This is an incidental case between 2 men on the street. Nothing to do with a taxi driver's conflict with passengers. Nothing to do with customers service. Why call taxi company? Better to call police to charge the driver for attempt murder with a vehicle. The fact is that there was no crime. On the other hand, if Alex were to drive his car and nearly miss hitting the taxi driver,who is the taxi driver going to complain? Nobody, yes nobody to complain, just suay. So, bros, we are like sitting ducks in the shooting gallery. The public will waste no time firing at you given a chance. Be careful and alert on the road. Stay out of trouble.
All I can say about this stomper Alex is, he is a taxi hater, a big backside salted vegetable duck chow ah kua.
All complainants that write in to CDG or LTA will never tell the whole truth.
I totally agree with you. The worst is they dun even get the facts (Taxi reg no.) right.
I experenienced once. Coy called me 3 times for interviews, download meter after pax complianed i wanted to whack him.
Coy oso ****type never listen to my proposal to investigate other taxi rego close to mine. Pax complained to LTA, i was asked to lim kopi, told officer that my coy had investigated and downloaded meter and i was not the driver he complained.
After that they found pax given wrong taxi rego like what i suspected and they got the actual driver whose rego is really close to me.

It's times like this tat piss me off cos we are nothing to them, pax are like their farking king n queen. Pax can call for a cab and cancel them even when you are there in 1min n waited for 10mins. After cancel they can immediately call for another one, Auto-booking, FARK!!

We all know how big/long are the driveways in a petrol station. How fast can the cab go? If the stomper park wide awayfrom the air pump and stick out his bump, he is obviously very inconsiderate and lack of safety for himself.
I do not see the coy sacking the driver for this matter. As for LTA and asking him to testify in court, it is just usual procedure. Testify in court does not mean the cabby is guilty. The stomper must bring his case there and since he mention the petrol station people heard the cabby shouting,he will also have to asking these people to be his witness. Why testify in court?, becausethe driver do not admit and both have to present their case to the court and let the court decide. T/fore the driver will only be guilty if the court find him so. The court case will not be neccessary if the driver admit to LTA and in this case LTA will than penalise the driver according to their rule book.

maybe the taxi driver already has one too many complain in his file.
