i prefer not to be raised at this point of hard time. it'll only drive our pax away.
to cover our higher diesel cost, take one or two trips extra would be enough to help. wink.gif

Is true that raising the cab fare now will be driving the pax away.
But taking an extra trip or two is not easy Uncle, sometime have to round n round
and yet can"t find a single soul. As for the pax they can complain to the LTA that taxi not enough in this tiny RED DOT, and cab coy in order to up their coy revenue will add in more taxi to pls the pax. For cabbies like us, without much pax on the road who shd we conplain to ???
Wonder what's those head of TOA doing confused.gifconfused.gif

My Paper

Helping taxi firms will help cabbies too

FUEL price increases have affected the income of taxi drivers despite the fare increase and vouchers given by taxi operators to offset price hikes and inflation.

Now, there is the call to impose a fuel surcharge.

The public is encouraged to take buses and MRT but our public transport system has not reached a level to serve the frail, elderly and handicapped adequately.

The only mode of transport for this group of people is taxis.

With prices of cars and road tax costs falling, I hope the relevant authorities would review the costs for cab operators. And with that, they could request the operators to reduce the rentals to cabbies

taxi fare must increase to follow with diesel price. Must increase coz its better to do it now coz people sure take taxi. If cannot take taxi then take MRT or the bus or take kar (leg power).

In singapore there is no need for us to say whether we support or not . Whatever our final decision is, they want to implement means they will implement it so no use spending our time debating here. The only right to prove our support only come once every 5 years .

all other taxi coys are waiting for comfort to impose fuel surcharge, my gut feel is,
comfort will not do that at least for now. why? becos comfort 1 2 see all the other
drivers from his rival companies to suffer, to feel the pinch and is only then that the
other drivers would know how good it is to join comfort.

these days, have been feeling that there were more comfort taxis coming to the pump.
so much more than usual. i think many drivers have jumped ship. smile.gif
