When Win Is Lose For A Driver

my ex-hirer from trans-cab who is also my fren hits a cyclist on monday morning.
the woman cyclist dashed across the traffic junction when the light was in favour
to my fren. it was too fast to do anything n thus my fren's merz hits her by the side
n she flew up onto the merz bonnet with her head hits onto the car windscreen.
she suffer broken head n broken arms but was still conscience after the accident.

the only witness was a nurse who was waiting for the traffic at the opposite direction.
she rendered assistance to the casualty n also testified to the TP that the woman was
at fault.

sure win case right?

the damage to the merz are broken windscreen, scratch bonnet n broken headlights.
a cyclist is not covered by insurance, so who would pay? evileye.gif

my fren went to meet the IO, the IO said, my fren might be charged for the accident
even the light was in favour to him n he has a witness. why? becos the IO says cyclist
do not has a driving licence and that a driver has. so, when there is an accident, a
driver has to bear higher responsibility.

drive safely, no joke. smile.gif

Yes ! Driver's responsibility to protected others is an ancient law which needs to be changed.
He may be charged for not keeping a good lookout and never learn to read minds and never learnt to be fortune teller to forecast happenings.

We are not in a driving circuit to be tested on stepping emergency brake.

If the law always to protect the road user, why waste $$$$ to put up so many sign board on the street, eg, no crossing within 50 metres [busy Orchard Road] if car user is gurantee at faults irrespective if the car user is right.

KKN, then cyclists should be banned on the road since they do not have a driving licence. They should only be allowed in the park.

Very contradicting right?

all these rules were set by our highly educated scholars,
sitting in air-con comfort offices. That's why they are called the
'Lofty Thinking A$$h@les'.

In case of any accident, even if you are right or have the right of way actually you are also in the loosing end. Better to be careful always.

Has anyone tot wat will happen if there's no witness?
With a DVR install, at least u got a fighting chance, if not, high chance lic revoke or even jail term.
Protect urself bro, tho u may not win but at least the damage will be minimum.
