A MAN, in his 20s, died of severe head injuries after he was hit by a taxi on Tuesday night. The accident happened along Dairy Farm Road. He was taken to hospital but died three hours later.
Witnesses can call the Traffic Police Hotline at 1800-547-1818.

The driver sure cant sleep peacefully. Who is right or wrong dosent matter now.
I once hold on to a dead body, not knowing she is already dead when I sprint
to her. She was lying face up the sky and I keep shouting to passer by to call
ambulance. I can still remember how she died when I pass by that road after
so many years. The driver that killed her and her husband was squatting beside
me with full of sadnest on his face. later he was fine $10,000 and disqualify
from driving.
We should try to give way if we are driving and alway siam if we are riding.
Hurting people and getting hurt is equally bad in my view.

but this forum is not created for forumers to wack the pariah...this forum is for taxi professionals to share the good & the bad happenings on the road
we write what we disagree with the policies that impose on taxi drivers...like implementing bus lanes where taxis cant stop to pick paxs
harping condemation on pariah will get us nowhere...but posting in what we feel on certain policies pertaining to taxi drivers is more prudent cause...the pariahs do come in into our forum to view
let us tell them what we dun like...how we feel on their policies...how cabbies are suffering bcos of their stupid implementation like TS etc
the pariah may close down this forum if some people use it as a platform to condemn them...as happened on the Straits Time discussion board which were taken off from the net

Eh, why do we keep calling our nice government "pariah" har? They so nice let almost all of us stay in nice nice HDB flats, disallow us to withdraw our money totally from CPF so you all don't go spend on China mei, Vietnam mei, or any other mei. They also so nice tax our motorist heavily so that the money can be channelled to other areas like education to help our children, health care and improving the roads. As they say owning a car is a luxury even if it's a Chery Cute Cute. It is also fair to make those who stay in private properties pay higher tax, pay higher Utility bills compared to HDB. Aiyo, they so nice let all senior citizens have special concession on public transport during off-peak hours, provide many many subsidies for senior citizens and normal citizens (PR also included) and do so many nice things and you all so "buay song".
They only take small salary of $2m to $3.5m a year only not a lot lor. Somemore best, we have nice fat friendly President. His salary only, I not sure how much, but qucik quick guess is about $3.6m/year only. All he need to do is absolutely 'NOTHING". Yes, "NOTHING". Just laugh laugh attend some function here, some function there. The speech don't even need to prepare. Got personal assistant to help prepare. So practically, it's a no brainer job. If work in private sector, their salary can be easily more than $20m/year hor. So you see they make many many sacrifices like big pay cut liao, because of us, because we elected them so they "bo pien" "LL" have to fullfil their obligations. So please everyone, don't play play and make them angry ok. If not they suddenly all not happy resign and go back to private sector then we all "bo cheng hu" can mati liao. Why? Because if suddenly some lousy opposition take over and anyhow spend our money, we sure die liao. If they cannot get to anyhow spend our money, he go hospital go on hunger strike but quietly drink glucose and tell the whole world about the citizens no good and not allowing them to anyhow spend their hard earn money. Then we all again "bo pien" force to kowtow, bend down, bend forward, bend backward, bend backside, kissed their toes and also kiss our neighbour's backside and LL ask them to take us back please. So everybody must be very happy they didn't anyhow ask for more pay hor because economy now not doing well. So we very lucky liao because economy not doing well, if not we have to increase their salary somemore.
So please don't anyhow say or vote hor. Because if suddenly accident happen like what happen to neighbour on 8 Mar'08 election, you saw what happen in parliament and the country with the whole world watching the comical performance. So when we vote, we vote with our head not heart because they very open one, in fact more open then our Malaysian counterpart because their salary is openly discussed in newspaer, tv and radio and also approved and okayed by parliament. In Malaysian, it's totally different hor. Salary maybe not more than RM20k/month for PM but hor, sideline per month can make Rm300k to Rm500k one ok, plus many many hidden freebies not known to the public.
So we must count our blessings ok. Don't play play.
By the way, since the government's salary and performance is tagged to the economy, there will be no salary increase this year (this one confirm one) and no extra bonus. But hor, because there is surplus in the ERP collection, everyone (cheng hu only in high high positions) deserve a fat bonus for a job well done. Because hor, the idea to implement bus lane in the heartland is so ingenious that it will confirm 110%, chop, stamp and finger print, cause so much chaotic traffic jams that the opportunity to erect more ERP gantries is unavoidable. This will of course be blamed on the motorist for causing the jams. Somemore extra collection from fines if those want to be hero think no one watching take a quicky in the bus lanes and ha! kena liao. Buses also have cameras liao. Remember, 3 lanes suddenly become 2 lanes, so can jam or not, you think about it. Also next time, buses are likely to have camera at their backside. Why? To take pictures of motorist for failing to give way to them even if they drive out of the bus stop with eyes closed.
Hello! "Cheng hu" allow you to buy cars but never say you can drive for free one ok. Those who can afford to buy cars must also can afford to pay for ERP, and only $0.50, $1, $1.50, $2, $2.50 and maybe $3 each time only. Your car cost at least more than $30k one ok (for Cute Cute model). So don't say cannot afford to pay only small change. Some more they never one time collect $30k from you ok. So please everybody, be happy for nice "cheng hu".
