Thanks,, me just talk clock n sing song just hope msg can knock some sense and add value to him. Me still learning the rope and hanging there. But i realise that for normal driving the return is proportional to the numbers of hrs u put in. As for my case i never accept any booking bcos of my limited road knowleged and finger slower than others.

Here is my computation: 8hrs drive = Nothing to shout aboutyawn.gif
12hrs drive = can feel the slight difference.smile.gif
16hrs drive = Front pocket going to burst, biggrin.gif

I think the method of getting your clients are WRONG.

The best tips is to meet up and we can share our tips with you.

Do not give up bro. Work SMART and not work hard.

Hope to see you in our next meet up soon.

OK, got some inspiration msg to share for those who are down...especially tread starter ...Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not happy and looking for an answer.

Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don't suffer. With that experience their life become better and not bitter.

Problems are purposeful roadblocks offering beneficial lessons to enhance mental strength. Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems. Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don't know where we are heading..but if you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Looking outside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides insight.

Sometimes being a professional cabby is not moving in the success direction. But if we stand still and rinse with holy water we have to understand success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.

In tough times, we need to stay motivated. Always look at how far we have come rather than how far we have to go. Always count our blessing, not what
our missing. We need to get the best out of our life, have to face our past without regret. Handle our present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.

I hope everyone will be rejuvenated to start the New Year with a new sense of inspiration.... keep the faith and drop the fear. Life is a mystery to solve not a problem to resolve. Trust me. Life is wonderful if you know how to live...Wishing everybody a Happy New Year. Cheer.

Bro, i m not very sure whether it is... but, i should be one of the youngest driver here! In citycab history, and in LTA history, as in 2004, i was the youngest driver, starting 2 drive at the age of 30yrs and 4mths. 2day i m already 35+. If this industry cannot earn, i wouldn't have given up my accounts job 4 this. Frankly speaking, there is a saying from some senior drivers; If u cannot make $2,500 a mth driving taxi, better go and become a security guard!! Hope this quote is not offensive to any bros and sis(if any)...

taxi driving used 2 be earning good $$$(as in easy easy $100-$150/day) until 2007 Dec, when they decided 2 raise the cbd surcharge to $3, and peak hr surcharge @ 35%. This is the turning pt in the taxi industry. Biz starts going down, but still good enuf 2 earn a living!! Cheers....

Should be per shift. If $100 to $150 for OMO means many or long kopi sessions or even enjoying recreations and long break. smile.gif

By openly stating how much we can earn is letting the authorities knows how much we can actually earned and thus, making things difficult for cabbies. Hence, till today they are not reviewing the individual taxi ownership. Why make things easier for the authorities? We should on the other hand push the authorities and let them realize we cabbies are not your easy target.

1. Let's boycott all the 3 terminals and see if the authorities will re-look into adjusting the surcharges. (This will work if ONLY all cabbies remain supportive of each other, and that includes kiasi, kiasu drivers)
