Comfort cabbies to get $306 Thu, Jan 29, 2009 The Straits Times
COMFORTDELGRO, which runs a fleet of 14,000 taxis here, will pass on all its savings from its road tax rebates to its drivers from March.
Each cabby will get $51 a month for six months, or a total of $306. Comfort expects its road tax savings to come up to $4.6 million.
Unveiled for all six taxi operators in the Budget last week, the Government will give operators a 30 per cent rebate on road tax for a year; the diesel tax on cabs that remain unhired for a one-year period from March will be pro-rated. -----------------------------------000000000000-------------------------------- tot comfort have 15,000 cabs...1K already returned?

Agree with 8_t, it's a damn smart move by CDG, from Mar 09-Aug 09, hirer will reconsider when they want to return their taxi. You may think that $51/month is too little to make an impact, but you'll be surprise that some stay on for much less.
