was on the ecp towards aye in the afternoon when this blue comfort taxi was hogging lane 1 at 85, never mind.. when i try to cut to lane 2 to overtake you, you suddenly decide you didn't want to road hog anymore and try to accelerate to cut me off? i laugh at your antique crown engine revving so hard to cut me off, and i did not even need to drop gear nor tap my peak boost to overtake you..

uncle, maybe next time you upgrade to a sonata then come and try again lah, learn your lesson and think twice about trying to piss of turbo AWD drivers.. you are lucky i never decide to let you eat my endless because i saw your taxi sign is HIRED.. i dont want to give you face i also give face to your passenger.

Don't look down on the crown engine, it is a very powerfull beast if driven correctly... it got lots of power, don't forget it is a 3ltr diesel and got lots of horses in it... In fact it is the largest capacity engine for taxis other than the chrysler... All others are either 2.0, 2.2, 2.5 only.

I still remember when I was driving the crown, it can overtake most vehicle on the road with ease...

bankai87 you driving a wrx right? not much awd otr... Don't think that your awd is the fastest and most powerful otr lor...... Its just a piece of toy with lots of fancy stuff on it and makes lots of noise...

The skoda taxis will outrun most vehicle on the road with its 2.5ltr turbo diesel V6... with max torque and power at very low rpm...

Most cabbies doesn't drive fast because they are just observing basic road safety rules and keeping to the speed limits. Not like some pte cars that will tailgate and race thru the streets with total disregards to other road users. Expecially during the night...

It doesn't matter how fast and wat kind of vehicle one drive cos there will be someone else faster than you.
Give way to whoever is coming up behind, the traffic will be smoother and pleasant to drive.

Its all about road manner not engine. Both road hogger and lane blocker are worst on highway.

Driving on highway lane 1 speed should be faster than vehicles on lanes 2 otherwise please switch lane except speed exceed limit +5 to +10 then hogger following you is beggar.

I do agree with STKee that crown is a powerful machine
but must get the right person to fully optimized this powerful machine

I remember there's once where i was at woodland going to kranji mrt, a bit down slope on that stretch of road, and a crown overtake my sonata with such tremendous power which leave me in awe doh.gif

Crown is all power but no speed, during slow speed crown is king
but it only max until around 120 ~ 130km /h
At the highway sonata can easily go beyond that smile.gif
