This cabby is 'king of the road'

Cabby stops in the middle of road at Jurong Point and ignores horns from other drivers

STOMPer Haze was puzzled by this inconsiderate act of a Transcab driver. He had stopped in the middle of the road outside Jurong Point, causing a traffic hazard.

Furthermore, he ignored numerous horns from other drivers that were trying to drive by this road.

When the cabby caught this STOMPer taking pictures of him, he immediately took out his camera phone and tried to take a picture of this STOMPer.

She recounts her experience to STOMP:

"This incident happened at the roadside at Jurong Point at 5.45pm, under the overhead bridge, outside the 7 eleven.

"Driver of cab number 5386T, drove by the road and stopped in the middle of the road.

"This caused a traffic hazard as the cars on the other side of the road had difficulty moving past.

"The cars behind cab number 5386T were horning the cabby for him to move but the cab driver did not do anything.

"Then a bus came by and stop to horn the taxi driver to move. However, he did not move instead, he put his hand out of the window and signalled the bus driver to drive past him.

"After the taxi driver saw me taking the photos, he immediately drove to the side of the road and parked beside me.

"Then, he took out his camera phone and faced the handphone at me. I believe he wanted to take my photo, but I moved away immediately.

"In a few minutes, my parents arrived and I boarded the car.

"After we left, the cab driver followed us. I am not sure if he had the intention to follow me as he was held up at a traffic junction while we were able to move off."

"I will deeply apprecaite if investigation can be done."

For a start, cab driver could be (could be only hor) pissed off with vehicles parking along double yellow lines just before the taxi stand. He probably wants to intentionally block the white car so that the car cannot move out. This stretch of road just before the taxi stand is notorious for illegal parking and waiting to pick up passengers/workers.furious.giffurious.giffurious.gif
The stomper should not have focused on this picture alone. There are other elements that contribute to this behaviour. I will give the benefit of the doubt to the taxi driver but I cannot condone his behaviour of parking beside the stomper and wanting to take a picture of him.no.gifno.gifno.gif

Again, this picture is taken with biaseness towards taxi drivers. Why not complain about other cars blocking one lane instead of focusing on the taxi.

It's high time the traffic police do something serious against any vehicles parked before any taxi stands, especially during peak hours.evileye.gifevileye.gifevileye.gif

yes... very misleading pic...
the cars parked on the side of the roads is blocking the way maybe for 50mins already.
good pic, can the TP summon the white car? its causing hazard.

i think the cab tries to enter the taxi stand, waited a while can't get in, then the pax ask him to move over and ...
just nice when he stop for 5sec, the stomper took the pic...

Well, this is proof that there are a lot of anti-taxis out there.
So, pls be very mindful of our road behaviours.
In the picture, it can be seen very clearly there are vehicles parked at double yellow lines.
But this anti-taxi stomper only choose to focus his complains against the taxi.
Not a single word was mentioned about those illegally-parked vehicles.

hahaha another complain queen.....guess she hates cabs alot.well....if the authority or the cab company will to question or investigate the case...suggest the stomper and the cabby to be call up instead only the cab driver. fair enough?

just wonder was the stomper blocking the taxi instead? looks like the pic was taken infront or sideways inside the car. hmmm......
