Long taxi queues at Tampines Mall are a traffic nightmare
STOMPer House-Baby says that the taxi queue outside Tampines Mall gets so long that it blocks the basement carpark entrance almost every evening and on weekends.
Says the contributor:
"This was taken on Jun 9 at about 6pm.
"The long taxi queue from the main road (Tampines Ave 4) to Tampines Central 5 is not showing any signs of improvement.
"They hog up the extreme left lane (Tampines Ave 4) which can sometimes extend from Tampines Central 1 and Tampines Ave 4 intersection.
"To drive into the Tampines Mall basement carpark is extremely difficult as these taxis cause major traffic flow problems.
"Maybe now it is recession, so not many people would be taking taxis.
"Can the relevant authorities look into this issue?
"Almost every evening and on weekends, the jam is caused by these taxis." -----------------------------------------000000000000000000000------------------------ dun blame taxis blame the people who designed the mall...basement cparks & taxis getting into TS are fighting for space
