A woman & man badly injured when Mazda collides with Merc cab at Punggol

Woman and man badly injured when Mazda collides with Merc cab at Punggol
Temporary panic ensued at Punggol Field when a Mazda carrying a family collided with an on-coming Mercedes Benz cab.

A large crowd gathered at the traffic junction Punggol Field after the head-on collision.

It is unclear when the accident occured but an ambulance arrived at the scene and conveyed a man and a woman to the hospital.

The couple were travelling with a child as well.

In an email dated July 8, Vic says:

ˇ°This was at Punggol Field.

ˇ°An accident happened between a Mercedes taxi and Mazda at Punggol Field.

ˇ°They were in an odd position after colliding head-on with each other.

"I did not witness the accident, just the aftermath of the accident.

"A woman badly hurt in the accident, so was the Mazda driver. There was also a child in the car.

"The taxi driver was unhurt.

"I think the most likely cause is someone was beating the red lights."

STOMP has contacted the sender for more details.
