Bro kingray, each taxi company have their own package when comes to hiring their taxi, it's up to you to decide which one suit you best.
May I know why you only enquire just the above two taxi company?
Just to make some correction. (Bro tu, u need to add in more hrs on the road hor. biggrin.gif)
Smart fleet include Toyota Crown in light green (manual/diesel), Toyota Camry in dark green (auto/CNG), VW Touran in white(manual/diesel), Merc limo taxi in white or black (auto/diesel/CNG).
Smart have no Sonata. Only CDG have sonata.
SMRT fleet include Toyota Crown in cream (manual/diesel), Hyundai Azera in grey (auto/CNG), Merc limo taxi in white only (auto/diesel), Chrysler in black (auto/diesel), Ssangyong MPV in gold (auto/diesel).
SMRT may launch a new model soon, Kia or Chevrolet, no update on the latest development yet.
As for the rental, deposit needed, incentives, cost of fuel, contract period, it's best you call them up and check as different model have different package.
I hope I've give you a better idea on the taxi fleet they offer.
Do post up if you found out more.
Cheers!

NETS and booking are good points to consider but some drivers don't like cashless transaction.

Sometimes I would praise CDG when comes to difficult situations.

I have several experience to share here:

- a weekday night around 0130 (very quiet everywhere) trying to que along Orchard road outside Plaza Singapura, I was the 4th if I joined the queue but look like need to wait 30mins+ or longer... since need to take a short break then just join the Q... suddently saw 4 pax walking from Macdonal house towards taxi Q... they bypass the first (white), the second (red), the third (green) then came to me asked uncle do you accept e-voucher?... haha of course.... then Woodlands and keep liao.

- a Saturday evening around 1730, released pax at Tampines St 11 noticed everywhere green light taxis.... look like no chance but suddently booking came in "Tampines St 92"... 5 mins reached there pax go Vivocity payment by NETS.... flags are connected without stop till midnight.
