Is this how pax see us as a taxi driver?

Quote:
"Am I to read it that Taxi drivers are generally not happy with their job and that after driving 13 hours you come off with only $ 30 dollars. and you are just unable to get a better paying job anywhere else. I am sure that waiting at tables will pay even more. I am not disparaging a person's misfortune but let's put perspectives on the whole issue. All of us unless you are in the privileged class, have to struggle to make a living these days and no one owes anyone of us a living. From the road sweeper, to the amahs who clean our offices and the maids who look after our houses for a pittance , all have their sorrows.

When the going gets tough, its the tough that gets going.

I am adverse to self pity, but I admire grit and integrity...Please taxi drivers, show some of these qualities especially when you are on the road, from the point of view of a passenger and also as a fellow user of the road."

i chose to be TD for my own personal reasons...i don't need paxs or public to pity me because I am a cabby

for me i've a good character and adhere to good principles on the road such as abiding rules set out for TD especially traffic rules

however when do paxs give praise when I show grit & integrity...how can I show these qualities if my pax is the reverse...never reply to morning wishes & scold at every opportunity when TD make a wrong turn

it takes two hands to clap right?bleh

So bros what do you think we can do more than grit & integrity?

i really don't live for others .

I live for my family and myself .

I dun care what people said about me , or my professions .

One pax, mostly 1 hour they stay in my cab ..... after that , he is he , she si she , me is me .

What happene after , really not my problem .

What happene after to me , also not their problem .

I merely plying a different kind of trade , comapre to them .

Plying a trade i happy at , plying a trade i specialised like them .....at the end , we only have got one objective ( $$$$$$ ) , same objective , tat's all .

Grit and integrity for me ..... it all about doing a decent cleanjob , we dun sell drugs , we dun rob , we dun rape , we dun conned ......

And i always i remind myself , i go to work in one piece , i make sure i go back in one piece for my family .

I believe most of the fallen talents here are so used to treat their own taxi drivers back at their home town with disrespect...then they come here & treat us same

I've come across many FTs asking me how long it takes to reach destination...firstly they're not too sure where & they want to make sure we dun take them for a ride.

Or "you go by meter fare?" Or came across one using his hp GPS to see I dun cheat him.cry

I don't really care how others feel or see this profession. So long as I am happy, and bring $$ back if fine with me.
Don't worry be happy...

Nice, understanding, cheerful.good attitude pax = Happy cabbies.

Bad,sour face, cant even smile.rude, nasty, cheapos, etc........ = Unhappy cabbies. so you tell me.... how many are good and nice to cabbies when cabbbies provide their best service to paxs?

only paxs are human beings and cabbies are not?

Imagine what happen if a day were to come where there are totally no taxis plying on the road?

Not really ! I was also earning this when I first started OMO short term with citicab 3 days slot. If you can read my early posts of my driving log you will understand how a NEWBIE driver is happy to nett $30/ profit.
1. Donno where to go.
2. Forget to start meter
3. Criuse too slow so other cabbies grab the pax in front of you.
4. Eyes cannot see far ahead to scan for Pax.
5. Avoid long ques
6. Never pray to Cabby God for blessings.

any newbies can claim you earned more than your rental when you started driving?

do you face the problems as outlined by bro Drive? Which is the most difficult part you faced?
