Becoming a Hirer

Hi all! Just starting to drive as a nite relief for about 1 mth. Toying with the idea to be a hirer with comfort. Heard about the new Sonata policy. Is it worth going for it?

No Cash incentives
Need 1 year bond
Need to wait for 3 mths

Or is it more logical to take Crown,

Got up to $1000 incentives.
Just need to tahan for 6 mths? After that go for New Sonata?
Waiting time only 2 weeks?

Welcome all views from bros here.

Thanks!!smile

Bro, My suggestion is to get a bro here to intro you into comfort and get a crown that is new to 5 yrs old. In that case, very soon the crown will be scrape and a brand new sonata will be alotted to you at a much lower rental. Furthermore, you will still get your cash incentive and no bond....

Also the rental for the crown is much lower and you can get used to been a full time taxiuncle without the worry of a 1 yr bond, you just need 1 week notice to return the taxi if you don't like the life of a taxiuncle...

Hi Bro stkee,

Thks for your advise. My hirer will be my introducer. I am also concern about the choice of Crown age.

Getting one that is near scraping age = high likelihood of repair?

Getting younger age Crown = getting stuck longer before scrapping?

Thks!

Comfort good at call only ....

8 years with Comfort , Uncle me call man .... no call dunno how to drive .

Always thought got call surely make more money than those with no calls .... but no la after driving a Red Wish .

Got call not necessary make more money . Save diesel nia .

In fact i make more money with Wish than a Sonata .

$$$ was good , it covers the trouble of refilling of CNG .

Cashless ..... maybe out of 40 pax , one pax ask about insisting on Nets payment . Never a problem with me cashless .

Diesel cheap ? Yeah ...... CNG vs Diesel , to me , same , cos CNG must top up petrol as well .

Every 270km use on CNG , need to use about 5L of petrol at least . It's an integration of fuel , not purely CNG .

Me a call man , how good am i ?

From 2006 to 2008 , i dunno , was given merit points by Cablink for hitting average 100 bookinga month .... Was call important to me that time , was , not now .

Give you a comparison ...

Sonata , friday night , my highest record 13 bookings , 4.30pm to 12am , $220 collection .

Wish ,. friday night , 0 booking , 4.30pm to 12am , my best $245

Wednesday night , for comfort , average anytime 6 calls a night , 12am $190 maximum collection .

Wish ? 0 call , 4.30am to 12am , i hit $230 collection last wednesday .

Call important to me ? No more .

Monetary rewards and perks is .

Who pay me more money , who get me !

Hi Poolman!

Yes. Did post over at Sgforum.

I did consider Transcab. Seeing more on the road. But due to some personal reason, going with comfort for now. hmm

Yeah, been following your posting. always see you sharing useful info to all bros.

Right now deciding to go for Crown, then tahan for 6 mths, switch to Sonata.

Cheers!

Take old crown if I were u bro callcabby, the oldest they got in the yard.
Crown is a workhorse, easily maintain and repaired.
Don worry abt going back to wksp for repair cos when the taxi in wksp, coy lose money and that's what they don't want.
So take the incentives, enjoy the low rental, sonata is juz a few mths away bro.
Good luck!

I will take a mercedes rather than chrysler, not that chrysler is no good but the starting fare that no one dare to climb in.
