Newbie to the taxi community

Hi all,

Juat wana intro myself as I just joined the forum.

I just passed my TDVL about 2 weeks back and now awaiting for my licence to be sent to me anytime now. Looking at being a night relief for CDG or Citicab. Didnt know the whole process of getting the licence was so long. Finally its already over and now its the beginning of another journey. Now I am having alot of difficulty trying to find a hirer. I found 1 CDG and 1 citicab taxi parked at my hse area every night, I paste notes to them, but no reply leh. They would rather leave the car there then get a relief..really puzzled.

Also As i am new to driving taxi, its quite intimidating as I am not so familiar with all the roads and if tio one guy like the ang mo marketing dilector who write to Sraits times, siao liao. Its not a very forgiving or easy job, need to always be on your toes. Need more advise from gurus heres.

welcome.

driving night is the best choice for new driver (me 2) becos most pax are going home after work

and they can guide you the way. you can approach CDG to ask for list of hirer who wish to rent out to relief.

or, you may also post here under the relief forum to see if u can find one.

good luck. biggrin

Need the info from you bro. I am a driver with colour blind (partially) and have more than 20 years of driving experience with a clean record, am I qualify to take the TDVL course as I know there is a requirement in the medical examination asking about eye trouble of any kind. Thanks.confuse

in case u fail, can try to write in to appeal if you need to support your family.
