9 car pile-up at accident-prone bend along ECP

STOMPer Max sent in this photo of a 9 car pile-up at a bend along the ECP, near Marina Bay. The pile-up occurred at about 3.15pm today (Dec 28),
and an ambulance was seen at the location. Said the STOMPer: "This happened today (Dec 28) at about 3:15pm. "An ambulance was despatched
but I am unsure of the severity of the accident. "At this particular bend I've seen more than 10 accidents in the last few months, most of which
occurred in the middle of the night. "Plenty of accidents occur here, around the Marina Bay area."

Sad to see these happened. Nowadays drivers like to tailgate and I always wonder how can they control their car so well.
I used to be a tailgater when I was young, I engaged low gear so not relied on brake but have to pay more fuel. Now petrol so expensive, instead of 1L to 12km tailgater has to pay 1L to 6km. Worthly or not? Chain accident traffic police sure take serious action. Worthly?

New taxi drivers ever heard how to earn more... blah blah blah, fast, cut lane, change lane fast, nonsense. Many on the road newbies chiong here chiong there, once kena $2000 hard-earn money gone, heart pain lah. Twice accident at fault, bye liao, find another company. Worthly?

Statistic record shows taxis average daily speed is between 30km/hr to 38km/hr. You can't run faster than this figure. 10 hours on the road the most you can hit 380km. If you need to 1km/hr meaning within a certain hour you need to accelerate 10km/hr. How to do it? Speeding, cut lane, break red light... all these are dangerous and driving license will get CUT. Even you are lucky to achieve 10km/hr more so what? You gain one more trip at the end of the day, $10 fare! Worth for such effort?
