MORE "green" cabs are being wheeled out.

ComfortDelGro, Singapore's largest cab operator, is putting the Euro 5 Hyundai i-40 on the road for a six-month trial.

The new model, though smaller, has ample head and leg room, and a boot large enough for three golf bags.

It can reach a fuel efficiency of 16.7km per litre, and emits 159g of carbon dioxide for every 100km.

Two were launched yesterday and eight more will be on the roads by next month.

the waiting list in CDG is very long, so CDG push new drivers to take old cabs.
