There is a free Android app that allows you to lookup old streets of Singapore in English and their colloquial names in Chinese characters, pinyin and dialects, as well as Malay and Tamil for some of them.
e.g.´óƶþÂí· is New Bridge Road,ÒÂÏä½Ö is Pekin Street
I'm ensure you'll find it useful. Look for "Singapore Heritage Streets" in Google Play.
