Most economical Taxi model

Which is the most economical in terms of running costs among all taxi models, putting aside other factors such as company incentives and benefits.

I intend to go OMO, my target mileage per day is 600km (including leisure)

wow 600KM per day...that's very siong. you better to have good diet and rest.
anyway, i think CDG toyota crown is good, considering the subsidized diesel costs and $80+ rental per day.
next would be the honda fit from prime taxi, considering the good fuel consumption and low rental.

Manual Toyota Crown 3.0L is definitely a workhorse but will the consumption be better than a auto 2.0L turbodiesel?

I'm still waiting for LTA's letter after 1 week of passing the TDVL course.
I'd probably go for any company who offers me a vehicle the soonest and with the least amount of hassle.

jus an update about myself here (if anyone's interested to know, hehe)

I don't know if there would be anyone as lucky as me, I got myself a Mercs cab to drive on the first day of collecting my TDVL. However, it was only a short affair, been driving it for 6 weeks then it was national headlines that my company was not able to renew its Taxi operator licence. Might be a blessing in disguise, my company's drivers had the option of transferring over to Transcab and hire any Taxi model without much waiting. As of now, I am driving with Transcab a Renault

Comparison between Mercs E200 NGT and Renault Latitude

Rental: $103.80 vs $133.75
Fuel Consumption: 9km per litre of gasoline vs 13km per litre of diesel
Meter rate: both $3.90 30cents vs 22 cents

To be honest, I was happier driving a higher fared ride, despite the costlier fuel bills. Operating costs were exactly the same for both which is about $180 a day , but the difference in takings is 30%!
