I do airport runs every day, both T2 n T3. Many times i see taxi unkers stand next their taxis and pee into the drain. How disgusting!!!!!!! and i think they also forget their women cab drivers now, so want pee, go toilet la!

If LTA is so hardworking...then it is good. But so far, Ithink this is the last on their priority.

I think the key thing at Changi Airport has to do with the loading bays.....they should try to have parrallel as well as series queing system.

Tonight when I went to T2 to pick my wife from her return trip, I can count more than 150 passengers linng up till aroundArrivalbelt 28 trying to catch a cab.

Cocurrently, there were more than 100 cabs outside trying to get into the taxi line to pick up passengers. There were announcements made by CIAS to "encourage" passengers to go and take Shuttle and Limo services to town.....(apart from the higher fare, imagine just one person taking it would be so ridiculous isn't it)...

If you add up the waiting time on each side multiplied by each person, how many hours of manpower andresources had gone down the drain just at Changi?!!!!

Hope someone up there will just build and open up loading bays during the peak hours!!!!!

Good luck and drive safe.

Yes..it is terrible....but a lot of TU are very old and have problems controlling their urine...I am not saying that it is a right thing to pee anywhere (like a dog)....I also empathize with those who really had problems.......so, this problem will not go away so easily....

Thus, either the airport provide more toilets everywhere where taxis had to line up, or maybe someone can invent a disposable plastic bag which can be sold to TU's who are lining up at the terminals....

So, when you are buying kopi, you can also buy one of these for your cab.....just like what they provide for people who are air sick on the plane.

Our T3 kopi boy would be happy to include this kind of products in his trolley card liao hor?????

Rom, i always have my windows up anyway. Imagine the amount of carbon monoxide in the waiting bay, aint not doing good for your health. Anyway, one of the old bird unkers advised me de.

@ joetanks: true la... but still, they can either go earlier b4 they join the Q or on hazard lights & go to mac there de. afterall, how many r willing to let other ppl to jump over their Q & do dat...

@ chiku: ya true. i always do dat. once i met this prime taxi driver driving toyota prius hybrid. he told me dat us driving diesel taxi for years also no good for health even we are inside the taxi. Sounds logical but don't know how true it is...

many taxi drivers are rushing with time everyday. i saw some packet food and eating behind the steering wheel while Q-ing at airport.
he seems like trying to save time to earn more for a sentosa cove unit. smile

Ya.....many are getting very penny wise and pound foolish....

maybe it is just a job hazard. As you know, some of our fares could be as low as just $3.40 (before meter jumps and the pax says he arrived).

Because we are dealing with dollars and cents every day, we become very concerned about every minute that we spend resting or relaxing and wanting to maximize the peak hours, we end up forgetting that our body just could not be stationery for too long.... our blood refuses to circulate properly and we did not even realize it until we step out of the cab......very very "zharm".....in the long run, we pay with our health for the wealth. Even this wealth can never buy Sentosa Cove.....

I am guilty of that. When i see the airport q moving slowly, i just pack and eat in the cab and watch. better to sit in the q do nothing and starve myself. Maybe cos i am newbie, so fighting with the minute. I find that timing is important in our line. The airport q changes very quickly by the minute. Time is really money when driving taxi

Hi Chiku,

Yes you are right. This thing happens to not only new drivers.....oldies are equally guilty.

So, other than not wanting to waste time....another method is to regulate your driving time by setting a daily target.

I was told by eporkchop that he has a fixed target for every day of the week....maybe you should try this.

As I am a super relief, I just set a daily target and will stop once I am near it (sometimes exceeding it if I get lucky) ....I cannot set a daily fixed target because I don't have a taxi every day.

Take care. Good Luck and Drive Safe.
