40-year-old Jason had to wait 25 minutes last Thursday (Mar 20) for a cab outside Caltex House.
All because these inconsiderate drivers, who wait along to pick up passengers and this prevents taxis from picking up fares at the taxi stand.

Said the STOMPer: "I was trying to flag a taxi after work, about 5 plus in the evening, when I encountered this.
"There were three of us in the queue at first, but one guy gave up after 15 minutes, while the second guy decided to walk further up the street to flag a taxi.
"I decided to wait, and it was only after 25 minutes, when the inconsiderate drivers left, that taxis managed to see me in the queue and stopped.
"There are so many inconsiderate drivers around!"

well we are not wanted by ppl in the CBD. There are so many ppl outside the CBD.

LTA don't bother to take summon action against these private vehicles parking/waiting illegally along the roads in the CBD because these cases don't fall under their purview.

If you want these bastard private vehicle owners to have a taste of our problem. I suggest all bros and sis to video record or take pictures of these acts and send to Traffic Police Department and pressure them to take action.

27/03/08 thursday 7.25pm. 3 private cars waiting,parking, surrounding the Hitachi Tower taxi stand.I couldn't get in the stand to pickup pax. LTA people only have eyes to look out for offends by taxi drivers. Private cars not their problems. Maybe i can ask my taxi union leaders to bring up the case with LTA or TP. BUT, i don't know how to get in touch with these leaders.They only appear & concern i pay up monthly members fees.Anyway they are the same people pro LTA, pro taxi company type.I stop paying already.pay or don't pay the same.

LTA,taxi company,TP regularly impose rules & regulations for taxis on the road.
Most, more often than not, these rules do not really benefit cab drivers.

All uncles, we must stand up together on our own and voice our discontent.

Bro donsan, take pix and put on stomp with their no. plate BIG BIG.
Anyway pte cars always park there b4 LTA put up T/S there.
If you saw pax at the T/S, juz stop near it and let the pax walk over lor...
