RE: Caucasian man 'acts like hooligan' to get cab in Shenton Way

Ya uncle Rich,
Anywhere else in the world, he will be surrounded by fellow cabbies.
But sadly, cabbies here are only ki-ki-ku-ki-ki.
That's why everyone is taking potshots at us.
So let's unite. Get the STC up and running. Speak with ONE loud voice.

One day, I also kena one ang mo trying to hijack my taxi along Church St at the traffic light junction infront of Capital SQ. At the traffic light junction, I stopped my taxi on the second lane when the light is red. All of a sudden, one bastard ang mo hopped into my taxi, I told him that I am on call and I cannot take him. You know what that bastard reply to me? He said that he is the one who called my taxi. I know that he is trying to cheat and I F*** him off and he LL get down my taxi.

I believe there are many such cases everydays and many are unreported.

If i'm "on call" in the CBD area normally i will lock the door, since most of
the taxi hv central locking system let make use of it just 2 b on the safe side.

viewing it from another angle,

the western do have something to teach us asian,
standing up to the authority,
and bravely showing their frustration at the system, : )

how many of us would do that?

on a positive note,
imagine if more citizen follow his's example,
surely the impact will be greater,
and society will change for the better .......or worse ?

it's nothing personally,

oh,
sometime rooflight malfunction too ! right?

cheers,

Singapore Taxi drivers should have powers to book and record pesky and problematic passenger's particulars and put them in a database to share with the rest of taxi drivers !

Where the place by the way ? Why Police did not take action ?

Better sent an open warrant of arrest if not ...

Ya, I agree most Singapore taxi drivers do not help each other on the road.
Sad cry! but I certainly hope to see more cooperations in the future......
starting with all members here making the first move.

one of the objectives in our proposed Taxi Drivers Union is having our own callcentre whereby members of the Union can call 24 hrs & alert other members for help...be it 'difficult' pax or cheats or life in danger or heart attack (can never tell yea) or tyre puncture or battery flat etc etc

HaHa Bro Fairfare,

You start callcentre now you have to go and operate it before it is officially open. But I think you would be quite free as not so well publicise yet lah.

Why so "gian" making himself look like a fool !

The no stopping rule in CBD is for comfort to benefit !

What can you do to LTA and Comfort Taxis? You can only bully the man on the street !

Sad to say that today's cabbies are not as co-operative as taxi drivers in taipei or even malaysia. Majority of the taxi drivers here are desperado....
