This is really a joke. 2-3 yrs old taxi rental at $90.95. My taxi 1.5 yrs old rental cheaper than what Comfort is offering.

There is a question I would like to ask fellow Comfort Delgro bro is that why there are still so many people willing to take up Comfort taxi when their rental is so high? ideaideaidea

Those who still insist on renting with comfort is becaise of their call booking system. Ask any tom, dick or harry and the first thing they say will be comfort dial a cab hotline.

BUT, these will change in 2009 when LTA takesover the call booking system and will dispatch it our accordingly to all taxi drivers within the radius irregardless of which taxi compnay you belong to.

Another reason is we can accept credit cards and nets. This morning at Sheraton Hotel there was a pax going to Airport and there was a silver cab but he could not take her because she wants to pay by credit card,so I send her.Fare $14.40.

Gentlemen, although it's merely $3 lower, but it's $90/mth, equal to a day rent.
Moreover, coy is willing to make this adjustment which i feel is a big deal.
With 15,000 cab, that's 1.35mil/mth.
We have many complaints against the coy but i strongly feel we shouldn't be unhappy in this case.
It's not juz $3 to me, it's a step to show that it's trying to keep us with them, which in a way is an advantage to us.
In fact i'm gona send them a feedback thru the portal and thank them for the change.
Cabbies highlight for a lower in rental, they did it, so they are listening, shouldn't we thank them for listening to us this once?
Moreover, by thanking them will also show that we appreciate what they are doing and in return encourage them to listen more.
However, i have a gut feeling that the diesel rebate may be taken off in the near future.
Anyway i will still thank them cos they can totally maintain the rental rate and take off the diesel rebate too.

broz,
beside tel-booking system, cashless payment and cheaper diesel with
many locations spread all over the island for our convenience,
there's oso the workshop facilities which we don't have to pay a single cent.
All these add up to provide more advantages than other coys
even if the rental costsa little bit more.
like bro fairfare, once i was 4th in d que at Suntec tower 1/2.
two ladies walk straight to take my cab bcoz d 1st 3 cabs all belong
to other coys and they were using the comfort chargecard.
time was around 12.30am, destination tampines n pasir ris.
So u see, in cases like this, comfort/delgro drivers have the advantage.

what i heard about the one-common booking line system is, after dialing the line, there will be options for caller to select which taxi coy they wish to book for a cab. example like press 1 for comfort, press 2 for citycab, press 3 for premium taxi and etc...

the line would than be diverted to the respective call centre.

it would not be 'who ever is nearer take the call' becos our MDT are not linked and all the taxi coysruns their own call centre independently.

I concur with Bro Bluenut. Where proper decision being make for the betterment of the trade we should be supportive.

broz,

just hope that after the rental deductions,
the coy will not reduce the diesel subsidy.

I've heard from one reliable office personal that in future ComfortDelgro is going to work with the IRs to provide e-voucher for their guest to take our cabs,if it's successful than our business would be greatly increased.
