there were so many times when i travelled along expressway at 95-100km/h...cars still tailgate me...am i driving slow?...no they want to drive more than 100km/h

lane 2 free for the idiot to move...bcos they want to speed more than 100 they want me to move out...that's the reason why so many cars went off the roadfurious

Aiyah, lane 2 free, you should move to lane 2 mah. It's not the speed, many don't understand lane 1 is for overtaking. See? You drive taxi also don't know highway code well. Hehe... joking uh!
For me, even if i'm at 100km/h or 150km/h, if i see someone coming faster behind, i'll still move to lane 2 to let him pass.
Usually on malaysia highway, most cars very 'zhidong', only alot of singaporean mentality think they own the road, travel at speed limit can 'bochup'.

loldid highway code say you can drive beyond speed limits?...its the principle of road safety...are you saying if lane 2 is free i shd move away & encourage him to drive way beyond speed limits?...for all you know i may be doing him a favour by saving his or other ppl lives hor

pity you said if you were driving 100+ or 150+& see another car driving faster you wld move away for him to speed like devil...if an accident occur & someone else got killed not him...i wonder what you wld say to yourself for letting him speed like devil

so you see...we taxi drivers tho at times speed beyond limits...we are also concious of hot-blooded motorist who think he has the right to use the 1st lane for speeding

wrt driving in m'sia...right mentality is to drive according to speed limits...beyong this like 140+ whole family may go next wordbye.gif

Sigh... some ppl just don't understand what 's road hogging. Nevermind, i rest my case...

I think DEFENSIVE DRIVING is the only way we cabbie should be doing.
Forget about right of way, safety distance, high beam low beam no beam etc etc...
We all eat the same rice but we don't grow up the same.
A driver should only determine his OWN action and not determine other motorist action.
If there's a reckless driver near you, STAY THE HELL OUT OF IT'S WAY!!
That's DEFENSIVE DRIVING.

Bros, bros,

Whatever it is, especially for nite shift drivers.
When the traffic is not so heavy in the nite and the early hours of the morning,
if lane 2 is free, move away from lane 1.
Don't hog lane 1, whatever speed u r travelling.
This is a very basic driving knowledge. If u don't even understand this,
then please give up driving. Don't be a pain-in-the-arse to others.
There might be others who are in a rush to attend to some emergencies.
U never know, it might be a doctor rushing to save a life.

Agree with you bro, always follow the first commandment:

KEEP LEFT UNLESS OVERTAKING.

Glad that some of you do agree or practise my point of view. But don't worry, this issue has been around for ages and there's always supporters on both side. There will always be ppl who drives at 80km/h or speed limit and feels that they have the right to be in lane 1. Then there's the others who feel that road hoggers are a nuisance.

Let me put it this way, iencourage slight speeding or maybe a bit more but definitely not RECKLESS or DANGEROUSdriving. Being slow does not necessary means safe. Alot of ppl slow and safe also gets into accidents. It's more on initiative, driving experience, reaction and not forgetting road courtesy. And why do you think that the rate of accidents on streets are higher than on tracks? Because tracks have less kayus!
