STOMPer Kuah was walking to a shop along Syed Alwi Road when he noticed part of a tree branch fall on a taxi that was just making a U-turn on that road.
The 46-year-old systems analyst sent a picture of the accident today (Apr 12), just minutes after it occurred at 11:30am.
He recounted: ¡°The combination of the strong wind and rain during the storm was so forceful that it was able to bring down the tree.
¡°The taxi driver was just making a U-turn at that point of time and happened to be hit by the tree.
¡°Fortunately, no one was injured and the windscreen was still intact.
¡°The only part of the taxi that was damaged was the front part. It was dented.¡±
The STOMPer added: ¡°No matter how careful you are, you just can¡¯t prevent everything, especially freak accidents.¡±
