A STOMPer tried flagging a cab down at this taxi stand outside Buangkok MRT Station today (May 31) but was unable to do so without getting drenched in the pouring afternoon rain. Why? Because of these drivers parked at the taxi stand.
"I suppose this is due to poor planning on the part of the authorities as the drivers seem to believe they have the right to park at the cab stand and rush in to the recently-opened supermarket there to make their purchases.
"But really. Why can't they just park their cars at the nearby carparks? They are really not that far away."
And yes, fortunately for the STOMPer, her experience did have a happy but soppy ending as she eventually managed to flag a cab down, albeit only after she stood smack in the middle of the road in order to do so, in the rain.
TP & LTA only 'fine' cabbies as they know we dun have the teeth to bite back...better not to 'fine' pte cars they can bite back
same goes to car park wardens...they go after taxis parking w/o coupons...pte cars they pretend to close their eyes & walk pass by..thurs i kena $30 knn...then appeal & write love letter to hbd

Not just the damn LTA but the whole damn Transport Ministry. It seems that the Government's goal is to get rid of taxis in the near future but can't do away with it all as it doesn't want to be too obvious. Know what I mean??
They are taking a step at a time hence, the most riduculous regulation to refrain taxi from boarding/alighting pax not within taxi stand/stop. More nonsense coming soon... just watch for it.

Correct Especially those drive BIG CAR they always Dun write Love letter to them
dun know our garment . Do they love us or they hate us? If they love us let us own our own taxis. They I just pay installment to banks instead to taxi operator . Its cheaper this way.And also I can kaya ( rich) in no time.
you want to own your own taxi...you first need to walk around at shops & markets behind million dollar man like so many towkays are doing...mister stop all stop...he moves all move...then maybe u got chance to own taxi
