According to an MMSfromSTOMPer Farid dated on June 5,it took place at around 5:09 p.m.
He said:
" I was crossing the road when I saw the vehicles involved in the accident and the police. I didn't see the McDelivery rider; I guess he might be injured.
" I stayed for another hour at a nearby coffeeshop, and by then the scene had been cleared. Traffic became smoother. "
STOMP contacted the Police and this is its reply:
"Police recieved a phone call at 4.40pm on June 5 informing us of a traffic accident at the junction of Bencoolen Street and Middle Road, involving a taxi and motorcycle.
Pizza deliveryman lands on hood after collision with taxi
STOMPer Tan was walking to Great World City yesterday when he witnessed a collision between a Transcab taxi and a Canadian Pizza delivery motorcyclist along Leonie Hill Road at around 8.30pm.
The STOMPer said the impact of the accident caused the motorcyclist to"fly off his bike and landed on the hood of the taxi".
He said:
"I heard a very loud sound of glass breaking.
"I was about to call the police but realised there was a police car a few cars behind the pizza delivery guy.
"The police came to help. The motorcyclist didn't seem to be in very bad shape, but I'm not sure if he was taken to hospital."
When contacted, the Police said that they received a call at about 830pm informing them of an accident between a motorcycle and a taxi along Leonie Hill Road.
According to them, the rider is a Malay in his early 20s. He sustained leg injuries and bodily pains and was conveyed conscious to Singapore General Hospital.
Police say that investigations are still underway.
You can see lots of this delivery guys going in and out of traffic like nobodies business. their paid on the number of delivery they make. So bros please be very careful when you see them around. I once saw one pizza hut delivery bike dash through a red light between 2 cars without at the junction of killiney road and river valley road. So please watch out even if you have right of way...
