sound like begging liao...and anytime about to throw in the towel...i personally feel the real issue is for LTA to cap the number of VL issued...or issue new VL but cant rent a cab for at least a year...can be relieve driver though...thus we dun see over supply of cabs in s'pore
every 3 mths some 150-200 new VL issued...coy so happy to rent cabs for big bucks...but are'nt we struggling to survive on a small piece of pie?...wherever we go we see long long queue of cabs

TVL can be made a little tougher, not to deter ppl from getting it but to make them treasure their TVL, take driving a cab seriously. Authority to clamp down hard on cabbie who break the rule which they lay down. If this two point are being observe, in juz one year, we'll have more cabbies on the road who behave professionally and are more committed. At the same time cabbies will be more united as more will have the same set of mind, thus making fare increment easier.

In my previous post, LTA already said TAXIS ARE NON-EFFICIENT PEOPLE CARRIER. That shows that they are already not interested to help the taxi industry at all. That is why the taxi companies have all the power to monopolise the industry.
