Wonders STOMPer Francis, when he dropped by the Shell petrol station in Boon Lay yesterday for a car wash and a petrol refill.
In his MMS to STOMP dated June 14, he said:
"Whydotaxis get thecheapestrates in car washes? Some car wash stations charge even lower rates at $3.
" A taxi also a car. Same size and surface area as most other cars. It's not as if the taxi size is so small. And there's not much surfaces to wash.
"Its very unfair. They'rethe ones are the most reckless and inconsiderates road users,yet they earn the most,do not have to payroad tax, enjoy cheap rental rates, have expensive customer charges and contributes themost to air pollutions.
"They also enjoythe cheapest diesel, free car servicing and cheapest accident repairing plus free tyre changing due to wear and tear.
"They are also the dirtiest road dust accumulating vehicle.
"Yet they're de cheapest in paying for car wash. So unfair. It should be us, normal car userswho don't spend as much time on the road, don't contributeas much toair pollutionand who accumulate the least dust to be the cheapest party to enjoy the cheap rates.
"Furthermore,the car washersdon't need a longer time to wash our car. So why taxis? Anyone knows the answer?"

Complain so much for what? They can go rent a taxi for the "cheap rental, no need to pay road tax and also get to be the most reckless and inconsiderate road user" plus enjoying "the cheapest diesel, free car servicing and cheapest accident repairing plus free tyre changing due to wear and tear". Lame loserbiggrin Can't afford to wash car then let the rain help wash for free lah.

Pls tell that goondo, bcos the car washer can "chin chai chin chai" wash taxi
but cannot anyhow wash pte car.....

Pte car wash maybe once a week. taxis wash once everyday. So in the long run the car wash make more money from taxi drivers than pte cars owners...

Francis would probably need a brain and mouth wash.

For comparing to get a cheaper car washing and if $3 is too expensive for him, wash it himself and it is free. He goes on to condemn taxi drivers and about cheap rentals etc etc. Education on him have failed.

Bro uncle Dan,

Some places wash at $4 and I think I was charge $4 before at Elias Road SPC. Some places like AMK ave 1 caltex charge at $2.50 per wash only.

Bro Bryan, you know AMK bery well hor, where got cheap car wash you also know.
Fyi, this caltex got very good offer to cabbie.
They sell 26 coupon for $50, one coupon entitle one cab wash.
No expiry date, no day or nite limit.
Wash standard is same as the $4 one if you ask me.

Taxi drivers pay over 3K a month !

Yet private cars pay 1K a month on average between big and small cars yet they not complaining about us paying so much !

I think recently all esso carwash have been increase to $4 for taxi. I am still loyal to the serangoon garden caltex carwash.. fast and efficient. $3 only.
