If you are entering Sentosa w/o pax, i.e on-call or go in jalan jalan, go to the extreme left lane which is for service vehicle. Stop for a few seconds at the booth so the young lady can take note of your rolls royce.
If you are entering with pax living in Sentosa Cove, pls use the extreme right lane which is for sentosa cove residents.
If you are entering with hotel guest, use the visitor lane, the guest will have some form of pass or letter tat prove their stay.
All the above no payment is required.
As for ppl going into sentosa to visit frens living in sentosa cove, i have no idea abt the payment.

Took a pax into Sentosa on Thursday. When I reach the booth the young lady ask the pax if he is paying the entry fee and he say yes,then the lady deduct $2 from my cashcard(IU) and tell the pax to pay to the Taxi driver later.I think if four pax she will deduct $8 and later you must remember to collect from them.As for CDG cabs we can total up at the end of the journey but for those cabs that don't have auto total up,you must remember to collect lor.

Good deeds done by cabbies are always not remembered whereas when any cabby made a slightest mistake they will make a lots of fuss.

frankly Sentosa has no right to impose on cabbies to use IU/cashcard to pay for their visitors...they dun approach cab coy as it does'nt concern the coys...they also dun seek permission from LTA as its not under govt purview...if cabby forget to total the fares who gonna compensate us (4 pax $8 hor more ex then erp)

so what right has Sentosa to impose cabbies to use their IU/cashcard for payment? We cabbies are already hard meeting our targets yet now we need to top up more cashcard for this purpose????? Now Sentosa take for granted that we cabbies are toothless to reject anything

near future when IR & new hotels are up...we've to top up our cash card more frequently as more paxs will go in...

SO WHAT'S IN IT FOR US??...we demand some commission from Sentosa like 30-50 cents/pax...or request LTA for $5 surcharge to go in Sentosa

what the fark the taxi asso doing to protect cabbies har????

so if they just hide behind the coys...we at STC can be more proactive

i suggest we write a luv letter to Sentosa Mgmt to express our concerns cc to LTA & coy, our proposal for a fee etc etc

Not only sentosa got no right to ask cabbies to use their cashcard to help pax pay for entrance fee. LTA or taxi company also got no right to do that. As a public transport LTA can only ensure we follow those rules and driver conduct at most. Sentosa will then be able to save money for cisco escort to bring those money to bank and we drivers help them with nothing to gain. Just like ERP i feel that if they want to insist driver to use our cardcard they should give us commission . Nothing is free in this world. Whenever they start any new rule I feel that if we feel it is not reasonable we need to voice out at least let them know there are some objection if not the rule will forever be there.

my MP/minister already said there's no free lunch...this morn i went in with 2 adult paxs & 2 kids...the guy inside the booth asked me to wind down window...he asked how many people?...i said u check lor...now taxi driver must report how many people meh?

so $4 deducted from cashcard under erp charge...walla this is illegal deduction under erp...LTA got commission har not taxi driver liao KNN

Best will be to reject going into sentosa if not call pax to put their cashcard.

I made a mistake when i mention that when our pax are sentosa cove residents, we use the extreme right lane, that is wrong.
The extreme right lane is for sentosa cove residents to enter when they drive their vehicle which is register in their system.
We use the guest lanes whether your pax is a residents or not.
In simple terms, as long got pax in your cab, use the Guests lanes.
If no pax in your cab, whether on-call or for hire, use the extreme left lane for service vehicles and taxis.

Last point to say, we got a darn long road to change the image of our profession and definitely an everest one, darn steep too.

what if our cash card got not enuff cash. Do we have to pay penalty or tell the passenger to pay cash to the counter ? Or shall we stop meter and tell the passenger to alight? Serious sometimes our cash is low in value due to so many ERP.
