Singapore is a small tiny dot, a little ripple will affect the whole island. Things are juz gona go up, no matter what alternatives you use, it's still gona go up. $50 ten years ago can buy one week basic groceries, $50 now can only buy u 3-4 days basic groceries. It's increasing at a terrifying pace recently, and it's not stopping. Increase of fare will chase the pax away, no doubt, but with juz 20/30cents fuel surcharge added into our "unchanged" fare, is the impact really that much? If you think hard on why Airline impose fuel surcharge, you'll understand why it's needed in our fare. I know ppl salary are not increasing, so we should not increase our taxi fare too. So are we suppose to wait till ppl have more money in their pocket to buy cars and jam up the road, causing ERP to go up higher, making us harder to ply for one more pax in another hour, till then we increase our fare? Why muz we wait? Wat's there to wait for? Do you think wat you make daily is on par with what others are making? Don't compare with ppl lagging behind you, don't look at those ahead of you either. We are in a trade where we should not be on the road more than 8hrs a day but we still does. WHY? Don't wait till you pay $20 for a HAPPY MEAL then you realise it's time to up the fare. Think again my fren. think again...
