and usually PNG will comes with alot of calls.. thats an incentive also wat...
i would like to ask fund commitee that a sum of $$ be given to the sms ICs as the sms they send out per day is alot alot.. and its quite an amt on their hp bill at the end of the month.. is it alright?

Thank you bro Pirate for being considerate on the ic's hp bill.
Frankly, the bill is quite heavy on the ic's.
I'm looking into forming our own talkie group cos base on my own hp bill, it's enuf to pay the group usage.
I don't mind pay the start up cost for register with Grid if there's enuf member interested to join in.
Each member should not be paying more than $50/mth for the talkie usage.
Start up cost for each member include buying a 2nd hand talkie n registration with Grid will not cross $150.

Perhaps 1 way of cutting down on the smses is NOT to inform abt speed cameras, tps ops and bus lane ops. Since we are responsible drivers, we should adhere to the traffic rules and regulations and there should not be fear of the above mentioned.

below r some suggestions 2 cut down on smses:
no need 2 sms abt bus-lanes, just dun go into bus-lanes n u'll b safe.
no need to sms png at shopping ctrs, the times r rather standard.
no need 2 4wd mdt msgs 2 comfort/citycab mbrs, dey oredi noe.
no need 2 sms normal traffic congestions.
no need 2 sms mbrs during their 'off' days.
but i think we shd keep up with sms on speed cameras, tp ops.

yes yes thanks for the hard work that the ICs had put in to forward those sms even when you yourself is driving n also when you r not on the road!!!

On top of wat Moshi2 suggested, may i suggest that we take turn to be the IC as i believe every members also have many unused FREE SMS! If each of us be the IC of 2-3 days, the company should not be able to charge us. Or maybe we can divide ourselves into smaller group(eg. diff time slot, area), i'm sure we can work out a way.

setting up this sms grp was to inform members here abt traffic conditions, good lobangs.. need not be stingy abt the sms that needs to be send out... but as this is STC activity, its also the resposibility of the commitee to help out the ICs... my tiny comments.. u want the cow to mawn a field, u also need to feed grass to the cow...
