Taxi drivers had something to cheer about when they were served tea and given free mooncakes, courtesy of Parkroyal Hotels and Resorts.
The giveaway took place on 13 Aug at Parkroyal on Beach Road and on 14 Aug at Parkroyal on Kitchener Road. Tea masters from Si Chuan Dou Hua restaurants served their signature Eight Treasures Tea from a traditional teapot with a one metre long spout. At the same time, each taxi driver received a ¡®no-pork, no-lard¡¯ White Lotus Paste Single Yolk mooncake.
Through these two mooncake giveaway activities, the Parkroyal Group aims to raise further awareness of Parkroyal on Beach Road and Parkroyal on Kitchener Road amongst taxi drivers.
¡°Taxi drivers have long been regarded as Singapore¡¯s destination transport ambassadors. This campaign is an ideal platform for our hotels to forge a long standing partnership with Singapore taxi drivers as they are a key link to the local community and visitors from overseas¡± says Ms Christina Chua, Vice President - Sales & Marketing for Parkroyal Hotels & Resorts.
The two-day giveaway marks the start of a month long sale of mooncakes at Tian Fu Teahouse and Si Chuan Dou Hua restaurants culminating in the nation-wide celebration of the Mid-Autumn festivities on 14 September 2008.
