very true observation...why?...these lorry or van drivers know there's no more TP on the roads nowadays...TP only appears when there's an accident & very fast too...that's why so many daily accidents & heavy vehicles breakdowns causing jam jam everywhere
im also disgusted on the national day speech on ERPs...he said the garmen makes cheaper for public to own cars & reduce rd tax...so erps actually dun earn as much therefore car owners will gain...so he's saying its ok for the roads get jam jam everyday...but bcos of jam more erps will be introduced...is'nt this a vicious cycle...happy to buy cars unhappy to pay erps...he's not solving the problems our roads are facing

I agree with you regarding the erp rational n justification ...it is abit out of shape...
everyone can own cars but have to pay to be on the roads ???
If there;s congestions n slower traffic.... dont you think we should start with the basics such as getting the commercial or slower vehicles to keep to their respective lane as before...
Am sure if such a revision is in place..we will observe some improvement n better drving and less traffic accidents...
If someone from the transport dept is reading this.....do look into it n get back to the old ruling....
If there come a day when this is in place.. just remember that you read it here first at STC... . Who says we here at STC - are not proactive n suggesting for improvements for better trafic flow
Some slower moving vehicles got speed limit of 50kph, 60kph and 70kph, not the same as before with 50kph as the limit for all slow moving vehicles. Therefore it is almost impossible for the authority to hunt them down. If you are a TP, what will you do or what can you do about the situation? I remember sometimes back i read about this suggestion some where: Lane 1 - 50kph Lane 2 - 60-70kph Lane 3 - 80-90kph This is only in the expressway and vehicles in the respective speed group will travel in respective lane. Not a bad idea right?

in any case now where got TP...they've libralised to cisco white mouse to roam the expressway...TP nowadays IT experts mah - intellegent civil servants who monitor pc only...however the white mouse less intellegent who roams the expressway only knows how to catch cabbies as merc, bmw or lexus drivers they dare not touch...also they dun play play with lorries or van drivers or kena punch sure one

by the way, anyone driving along West Coast Highway especially from the roundabout onwards in the late afternoon or early evening will experience how all those heavy vehicles occupy all the lanes........ WHERE THE FARK ARE THE TPs??? knnccb, those TPs muz be on overhead bridges snapping photos..... maybe they are colloecting photos for next year's calender........
Those days when commercial veh had to stay on lane 3 n crawl at 50km...bloody hell...you are always looking out for whether there is a TP behind you......
Quickly overtake n then back to lane 1...

Dont think this is not true...I am writing what I observe daily on the road..
All these years I was hoping there is a 'volunteer' Vigilante ...to help wave those idoits to their correct lanes n let other motorist drive smoothly n prevent motor accidents....
If the authorities are reeading this.....let get back to the basics.....back to the 80s please...
