pax wants to go Mt Alvernia Hos...picked her from Lor Ah Soo...she asked me to go by Bartley & Braddell...so i passed CDG office & tpy...then i used the flyover instead of below going to Bishan
I thought the flyover will merge back below...knn the flyover connects with the new flyover direct to Lornie Rd...no way to escape back to thomson rd
so no choice turn to Andrew Rd at mediacorp & go one round liao
so be careful bros...use the flyover only if you are going direct to Lornie rd not upp thomson or thomson rd
Bro,
You were lucky to turn to andrew road, if you missed it then you had to u turn at adam road hawker centre, then pax were surely kpkb at you.
Think there is a U-turn before the Kheam Hock road (the road that leads to bukit brown cemetery)? Sorry ah.. correct me if i wrong ah...
Bro,I think the road you're refering to is not Kheam Hock Rd but Sime Rd and this U turn is only for people going to Farrer Rd.The actual U turn he can use is at the middle of Lornie Rd to turn back to MacRitchie and then make another U turn under the viaduct to Mount Alvernia hospital.

Had to turn into andrew road n back track....
pax did not kpkb...I gave her a $2 discount for my oversight.....
So Bros.....u have been cautioned...keep left to thomson n bishan......

THE new Lornie Viaduct - built to speed up traffic flow at the Braddell-Lornie junction - is barely a week old, but it is already chock-a-block in the mornings and early evenings. Motorists complain that the $34 million viaduct, which took four years to complete, might even have worsened congestion along Lornie Road (towards Farrer Road) during peak hours.
Ms Jalene Chua, 39, a manager at a local company, said: 'I was really excited when I learnt that the new viaduct was finally ready for use after four long years. So you can imagine my dismay when I was stuck in an even worse traffic jam on Monday morning.'
Ms Chua, who lives in Lorong Chuan, was on the viaduct around 7.45am.
To beat the jam, she left earlier the next day. 'Flow on the viaduct was smooth, but there was a massive jam right after it, all the way to Farrer Road. I am taking at least five minutes more than before the viaduct was open,' she said.
Checks by The Straits Times confirmed this.
Retired traffic planner Joseph Yee, 63, reckons the viaduct is 'funnelling' vehicles into Lornie Road 'at a faster rate', and that could have contributed to the bigger jam.
A Land Transport Authority spokesman said it is aware of the situation. 'To alleviate the traffic condition, we will widen Lornie Road in stages,' he told The Straits Times. 'Works have started and will continue over the next few months.'
-----------------------------------------0000000000-------------------------------------- wtf...after spending $34M...now realised still jam jam...still want to propose widening...this is how we pay top scholars in Lauya Transport Authority...something really very wrong in that mistry
also PM said in national day rally people can now afford cheaper cars...now this morn papers report there're too many cars in s'pore roads...mainly due to lesser scrap cars & easy COE
wtf...knn...waste cabbies time get stuck in traffic jam almost everyday

easy 2 solve this....ERP???? otherwise where got excuse to put ERP
When the government do something good for us, we better be prepared for the worst hor. Like what Vincez76 said, ERP gantry coming up soon. In no time, all exits to expressway or whatever ways will have an ERP gantry. KPE will be putting up ERP soon too. KNBG.

Okay okay. Let's make some sense here. Position it just outside the carpark. Like what our SM Goh said previously, we are not discouraging car ownership just usage. So we buy car, park at home, every time free go start the engine, wash and clean it, polish it, sit inside and listen to the hi-fi and drive round the car park. But hor, cannot drive out of car park lo. Drive out and you kena pay like hell to subsidise the Lofty Thinking Authority's scholars.
Some of you are lucky to be able to detour at Andrew road. Today I saw them put up an island to stop pple turnng into Andrew road from the viaduct. You can only U-Turn further down Lornie road.
this morn i beli smart go below the viaduct to go thomson plaza haha
you know why Lornie road always jam jam during peak hr?
it's bcos of that stupid traffic light at Island country club...i suppose it's meant for the rich buggers to turn into the golf course...but during peak hr nobody turn into the club...and the traffic light held up all the traffic flows
now lauya TA said they want to widen lornie rd...lagi jam jam...only contractors are laughing all the way to the bank
dun need a scholar to visualise this...knn
