STOMPer Cho Choon was amazed by how cabbies congregate at this area just to use the free water flowing down from the hillsides at Bukit Batok Street 25.
Opposite Block 289A, this spot provides motorists with a constant supply of free water. Normally, at ordinary weather, the water flows slowly and smoothly but once there¡¯s a heavy downpour, the stream becomes a raging torrent.
Cho Choon adds:
¡°Where else can you get free water but at this particular spot?
¡°The taxis will gather here from 5 - 6am to wash their taxis with the free water right from mother nature.
¡°However, at this unearthly house, there are no traffic police and illegal parking becomes the order of the day.
¡°Futhermore, the cabbies leave a trail of discarded cloth, plastic bottles, brooms, small pails, cigarette butts and boxes and newspapers around.
¡°What¡¯s left is all these rubbish plus a wet, slippery road.
¡°The residents have no choice but to put up with the filth and noise in the early hours of dawn.
¡°I really hope justice can be done for mother nature and the residents living here!¡± ---------------------------------0000000000--------------------------------
