my cab smells.....

Guys

I need some help on this...

Some inconsiderate passenger brought fish into my cab n soiled my boot canvas .....I did not know the fishy problem till some hours later

The fishy smell started to get worse with each passing hour ..till my last passenger had to wind down his window ...

I have washed my boot canvas n rear mats...

but there is a lingering smell.... any bro with suggestions ....thanks

after carrying out fairfare's procedure,

if more hardcore,

can follow by
placing charcoal on old newspaper to absorded lingering odors,
add a touch of sandalwood incense for finesse.... biggrin.gif

if suspect smell from a/c

  • After a few sprays, get back in the car and smell to determine if the deodorizer is circulating through the AC system. Repeat if necessary. This application should treat the air conditioning EVAPORATOR, BLOWER and DUCTING..the places where smoke and odor particles will collect.
  • Now, switch the AC/Heater control to FULL HEAT, leaving the engine run, the air control in "fresh air" position and the FAN on full.
  • Go back outside the car and repeat the spray treatments into the air intake.
  • By switching to the HEAT position, the deodorizer is now treating the HEATER CORE, BLOWER and DUCTING..another place that odors will hide.

bro, i've experienced the same thing b4.
go buy a bottle of Fabreeze(can't really remember the spelling liao) from any provision shop/supermart.
just spray onto affected area, the odour will be gone in minuites.

Isn't there a filter in the aircon circulation system ? Maybe can spray the Lysol there.

To prevent this fishy thing to happen, i place old cardbroad n newspapers in d boot as a mat. Once this fishy thing happen in your cab, straightway throw away the newspapers or the cardboard in order not to make the smell worst.
As for me i try 2 avoid wet market especially Teka n Geylang Serai..biggrin.gif

Yup my cabin smells quite neutral now ..with a hint of different smells from pax now n then..

Eg : packet food / body odur / ladies perfume..

If you are wondering about the fishy smell ..it has evaporated i hope..

Anyway.. am currently using some charcoal in the cabin ..

Will be trying out a new gadget soon...some plasma ion tech tool...

After the fishy incident followed by pax who are not well - flu /cold...

I think I better equip myself against all these uncalled encounter...

Bloody hell was down 2.5 days last week....very expensive price to pay...
