as to your question...i put it this way...if you dun get a bonus or get lesser pay wld you resign from your job?
if you resign due to bad economy crisis...what job is waiting for you during this bad time...or wld the bosses prefer to take in FT which is lesser burden than employing a local?
got the pic?...by all means be a relieve driver afterall a dollar is still a dollar yea

hi max, welcome and thanks for visiting this forum.
being a taxi-driver is like being your own boss. if u r not happy with the income or not happy with the working environment, u can stop anytime u want.
with Singapore going into recession, I m afraid of going empty on the streets and with the rental/fuel charges so high. Anyone getting less fares nowadays?
Another question is what can i do when i am not familiar to customers destination? Although Singapore is small, there are thousands of roads/places. Customers expect taxi drivers to know all the roads/places and take the shortest route to get there.
some biz make gd money during good time and some biz make extremely gd money during the bad time. i believe the number of pax would drop becos some ppl start tightening their belts. however, there would be still movement around. ultimately you would still get your fares except that you may need to work extra harder.
for 10 hrs, i think is $70 - $100. depending on which day. lowest rental now is prime CNG taxi. $69 per day with cheaper CNG costs. but 5 years contract. need to really study hard b4 you commit.
bro, when deciding which coy to hire taxi from, there are many other factors besides daily rental to consider. a: price of diesel at coy pumps is a main consideration. u need to top-up everyday. b. no. of pump stations across the island, for convenience. c. no. of booking jobs (both current and advance), not only help increase ur income but oso less empty cruising. d. workshop facilites, for both routine serviving and breakdowns. e. other quarterly/yearly benefits. both monetary and medical. anyone bros pls add-in if i miss out any important points.
Taxiuncle, is it $70 to 100 after rental + fuel for relief driver?
cng, prime or comfort or city cab for a cab?
An, do you know how much is prime auto rental?
which is better? 5 days relief or 7 days relief? can weekends get more than 70?
.
hmmm,, as a new UNCLE on the road,,, I think it will be more realistic that U target yourself @ $70 (net after deducting all cost) for 10+ hours driving ,,, take it as a bonus if anything more then that ... CNG is cheap but only 3 refilling location,,, so,,, not so convenience in my opinion...
prime auto is $69.9 for 24hours b4 gst....that is what prime charges hirer... hirer may charge relief differently...and prime hirer cannot have relief for more than 2 days a week
drive 5 day or 7 days better? depend on whether you got bungalow plan or not loh...haha
I heard that there is no life for omo, diedie have to drive more than 12+hrs daily to make 70 to 100 profit. is this true?
does relief driver pay half for monthly parking to hirer? any other costs besides half rental and running fuel costs? what about a gps? does it help to find places?
