let's contribute 3 reasons each why it's done this way
1. chinaman luvs to poke fun at s'pore 2. LTA officer must be from blanga 3. bus coy prefer commuters to read their notice board instead of looking out for buses

If you are willing to admit faults, you have one less fault to admit.
Initially, there was no shelter, only a single pole bus stop. After residents's feedback,they brought over a second hand used bus shelter. They couldn't cement the normal way because the 3 poles may obstruct cyclists using the path behind.
From what I observed, those bench is correct place for commuter to sit and face the road.... as for the poles, along as it hold the shelter... it should be ok ..... be pratical lah...
