nowadays unemployment rates is going up soon with poor economy climate. releasing more taxis will help to keep unemployment rates short lifted, benefiting the authorities and taxi companies. as for taxi uncles authority bo chap as whether u get a pax or not. tis will not affect them.i dont think increasing the flagdown rates will help us either. i strongly agree to the rental rebates for taxi uncles during the bad times as it is needed badly. jus like government pumping money to help the companies to stay afloat.

hi burpie
welcome to our cabby's forum...hope you'll enjoy your stay here...do post anything under the sun...our bros here are friendly...our mission is to unite cabbies...united is strength
i fully with you that coys shd start giving rental rebates during this economic crisis...coys knows how to approach lta for tax rebates on idle cabs in the yard
looks like no one cares whether cabby survive or not...they're only interested in their bottom line

Bro, I am sure everyone loves to drive a smoother and quieter vehicle. But we are talking about taxis here, on the road averaging 300km per shift. Can u tahan if the petrol price goes up again??? Don't expect coy to give rebates hor.... it will never happen. Think before you leap.

HAHAHA.... 1.5 litre cars used as taxis to run average 500 kms/day X 30 days = 15000 kms/mth. do u want to spend more time on the road or resting in the workshop lounge???
