Girl confronts cabby on call who picks up another passenger for higher fare
It was extremely hard to get a taxi after the ZoukOut party in Sentosa last night (December 13), so this girl was angry when the cabby she called for picked up another passenger.
STOMPer Firestarter, who saw the incident, said:
"Everyone was calling for a cab, and they took ages to arrive.
"Apparently, some people offered the cabbies who were on call more money, so that they would be picked up.
"This cabby did just that, but unfortunately, the girl who called for him saw his taxi and confronted him when she realised he had picked up another passenger.
"She was clearly upset, as she was showing angry hand gestures at both the taxi driver and the passenger.
"However, she finally got her cab back."

I wonder how the Stomper firefighter can be sure that the cabbie picked up another pax for higher fares??? It wasn't mentioned anywhere in the article that he/she actually heard the exchanges between the girl and the cabbie and pax inside the cab. It could be that the cabbie genuinely pick up the wrong pax. With such a crowd and so many people clamouring for a taxi, surely there will be irresponsible party-goers who will try to trick the cabbies into believing they are the ones who called for the the taxi. I believe a lot of members here have experienced these tricks before. I think this Stomper should change his/her monicker to firestarter. Obviously this Stomper couldn't get a taxi and was so frustrated that he/she tried to create troubles for cabbies.
The lesson learnt here is " TOTALLY AVOID IN & OUT OF ZOUKOUT SENTOSA" I am sure there were many unpleasant encounters that night for taxi drivers there.
I had a good time away from the island that night and a good takings too, ho! ho! ho!
