Cabby makes family pay $50 after son vomits in taxi
Posted on 03 Dec 2012
STOMPer Desmond was appalled when a cabby charged him $50 for a trip when his son vomited in the taxi. The STOMPer feels taxi drivers should exercise more empathy in situations like this.
Said the STOMPer: "We took a taxi to dinner at about 6.40pm on Dec 1. "When we got in, the taxi driver wound down the window and also switched on the aircon while we were on the
expressway -- causing polluted air to be blown in, mixed with aircon. "Half way through the journey, my two-year-old son vomited. The taxi driver did not even care, and he said we had to
pay $50 for car wash! "He sent us the wrong place too. When we got out the taxi and asked for the receipt, he slowly tried to find it, again and again. "I had to keep on asking. Then he
brought out the receipt in writing. "Kids are kids. He didn't even ask 'Are you ok?'. "Can I ask my 2-year-old son to control himself?"
